FWIW, wholesale milk commodity prices are set in part by an arcane formula that makes the price proportionally higher as the distance from Eau Claire, Wisconsin increases. I imagine you will find that retail milk prices follow a similar pattern.

In Houston it is about $2.49 a gallon. It just depends on where you shop here. +1 to Bo for the great information on milk pricing. I find that very interesting.
