I wanted to bring up the topic of important social and cultural events in LA yearly, and if anyone had a problem with Los Angeles always receiving these events. As you probably know, LA is always a city that is looked at first when holding award shows, sporting events and major business functions. For example, we kicked off the year with the Nation Championship game being held in LA followed by the Grammy Awards, the NBA All Star Game next Sunday and then the Oscars next month. We all know that LA is pretty much an ideal city to attract such events, but in your opinion, should other cities be looked at as well to get some recognition? What do you think would be the ideal city for these events?
Maybe you could make a case for the Grammys to be in NYC (anywhere else no way) like the MTV or are still are at times but LA is the center for film and television and a lot of music as well.
On the Rose Bowl, it is where it is and rotates through the other main coalition bowls, it is the granddaddy of all bolw gamea and the setting is tremendous
Many cities get many events but movie awards or the related , where else would even make sense
I dont care if LA gets to keep these events as long as Fashion Week stays in NYC. I love getting to see all the celebraties and rich people up close and personal.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Grammys also take place in New York City too? That would definitely be a good location for music's biggest night.
I knew someone would say this, I say actually no, LA and NYC are the only legitimate places where these should be, they are the centers for this industry
Nashville has the Country music awards and the CMT awards. Incidentally, Nashville is also the 2nd biggest producer of music in the country.
