I don't know what it is, I'm thinking it is because its the water I've been drinking since I was born so I'm used to it, but when I travel and come home to good old unglamorous "city of Chicago tap water", I'm happy to have a large glass of the stuff.
I've never been much for bottled water though, if I end up with a bottle of the stuff on my desk, I usually just fill it up over and over from the tap until the cleaning staff throws it away.
Bleh. Chicago water tastes like fish ass. I especially can't stand it for making stuff like Kool-Aid or Crystal Light... *shudder*
I could never tell the difference between water one place and water in another place.
Trust me there is a BIG difference....not everyone gets their water from the same lake/river/ocean.......try tasting water from the hot springs of Colorado, then compare it to water from Lake Erie. You should get a difference in taste.

and you'll probably get sick from one of 'em...everyone knows which one I mean.
yes, its lake erie. im pretty sure factories along the lake dump all their waste into there. i may be wrong, but didnt they used to?
Yup...indeed they did. Lake Erie in front of Cleveland used to catch on fire a lot 30 or so years ago because it was so polluted, thus earning Cleveland the nickname "The Mistake By The Lake" I believe. I could be wrong about this being the reason Cleveland earned that nickname.

Did not taste too much different from pure water. The worst tap water I've ever tasted would have to be in Florida....it tasted like salt water which had gone sour....Cleveland also does not have great tap water, nor does Alexandria, LA. I don't know what it is about the tap water in ST. Louis, they just know how to make it good. But I have I must confess being more of a "pure" person myself simply for the fact that I like pure water Enough of my babbling...what is your vote for the cities with the best tap water?
Can you please be an adult about this and keep your negative comments to yourself? this isn't a forum for bashing threads.
