Where is the best sailing/sailing communities?

I’d imagine San Diego is somewhere at the top. Ideal sailing weather year round, storms are very rare, nice views.

Puget Sound area is also really nice. Plenty of beautiful, remote islands and the views on a clear day are unbeatable.

Sailing to Orcas Island from Seattle is absolutely awesome in the summer. Protected waterways surrounded by glaciated mountains. Bald eagles flying all over in the blue skies.

Maryland is your best bet with number of affordable options. Besides Annapolis there's also places like St Michael's and Cambridge.
