So, I think most people like living in cities that have lots of cultured activities and places to patronize.
San Francisco is one that comes to mind and reasons because of:
-downtown with coffee shops, museums, art galleries, play houses, and history like Chinatown and other areas
-higher end clothing stores like Macy's, Nordstrom's, Sak's Fiftth Avenue, Pottery Barn, Banana Republic, Gap, etc...
-fine dining sit down restauraunts like five star locally owned restaurants and wine tasting rooms
-San Francisco aquarium and nearby zoos
-Parks
-Libraries
-Safe neighborhoods
-Schools with more more student teacher interaction
-Environmentally and physiologically conscious people (walking, eating healthy, recylcing, etc...)
And then you have several other towns and cities like Portland, Seattle, Chicago, and New York that have much culture.
And small cities (towns) like Berkeley, Kansas City, and other cultured suburbs and college cities with much culture.
