It looks like we have similar tates . I've only been to Maryland once and it was a long time ago. I think I would enjoy all the fresh seafood. It's also a good homebase for exploring the east coast.

It appears that way! I like New Hampshire and Michigan for the same reasons you do. Apparently I need to visit Montana! I love the hilly/mountainous landscape in western Maryland, and it is an extremely lush and green place. I am also fond of Baltimore.
Maryland is one of my very favorite states! It's beautiful! Baltimore is an exciting city too, with lots of nice architecture. Actually, I love the whole Chesapeake Bay area. I was lucky enough to live in Maryland and Virginia several times for a total of about five years. Beautiful, beautiful area and GREAT SEAFOOD.
Idaho--although you shouldn't ask me to be too elaborate as to why, I can say that ID has, in my opinion, the same sort of mind-boggling regional contrasts that you can see whilst traveling California from North to South. Regional variances in geography/topography is an appealing attribute that most U.S. states have, granted, but ID manages to be one of the most fascinating, in my opinion. (And I can't hear a song by The Outfield without thinking of Pocatello. Not really seeing a connection there? Me neither, but it happens every time.)
Washington--My personal infatuation with the Bellingham area by itself swings WA State into my top three category.
Colorado--Not to disregard any unique qualities that Coloradoans may attribute to their state, but I've always viewed CO as a very neat microcosm of almost the entire Western U.S.
And lastly, an honorable mention goes to my home state of Montana (if you're wondering why, then there's your answer).
Kansas - family, love the prairie, big sky, and intense weather. Dorothy's cool.
Colorado - my favorite state for Western landscape.
Illinois - nice contrast. prairies, beaches, forests, small towns and the titan Chicago.
Cali - Great Food, Central Coast is the best place to live in the country in terms of beauty and weather. It is ruined by taxes, and COA. no bugs in your face though and ocean, hell yea. Central coast has a low population density.
Colorado - Great state for Taxes, COA, etc, vast and open, sunny a lot, only bad thing is no water compared to where I grew up, but also no flying bugs (awesome).
Utah - Great looking state, haven't spent much time there but it is cool looking.
