Of these cities, which one do you think is best in terms of being minority-friendly, urban, lots of things to do, with a reasonable cost of living, and a good job market, (and low crime rate)? (Don't say Houston b/c I live here, or anywhere in Texas please)
San Francisco
New York
Seattle
Twin cities
San Diego
Washington, DC
Indianapolis
Chicago....
Feel free to add more, can't think of anywhere else I would consider. But I want a city-like environment, that either has a large population, or is densely populated.
also I prefer somewhere not so hot, because the heat and humidity in Houston is crazy! lol

Is Boston minority-friendly?
The only "minority-friendly" cities I see on that list that, from what I've heard, are Indianapolis, DC and NYC (I'm sure some would disagree, too), and of those, only Indy is affordable, and NYC is considered RELATIVELY low-crime. NONE have everything you want though.

Yes,in fact Boston is 53% minority, so it is fine for minorities.
Yea I kept seeing that Boston is really racist, but hey it's whatever I may still consider it. After all, I shouldn't care about what anyone thinks anyway, just live my life. But I do want to feel comfortable and welcomed though. Hmm well thanks for the input : )

A city you may like and I think gets slept on is Columbus OH. It has a Black mayor, Black female school superintendent and a good sized Black professional community. Ohio State is there as well.

Of your list I would say DC. It's very diverse, urban yet not overwhelming in terms of magnitude, has the lowest unemployment rate of any of the other cities mentioned and the crime rate is low in areas you would think to live/work in. It's not cheap, but the salaries tend to reflect that.
