I loved the 5 years I lived in Texas, I would not trade them for anything. A&M was such a great place to go to college.

I do agree that the Texas hate on these boards is usually pretty pathetic. Almost all the haters are among the most ignorant uninformed and backwards people unless their complaint is humidity due to a mediacal condition or something ok

Sure as heck liked living there more than growing up in NY

I would never leave the east coast. I have too many memories roasting quahogs by the campfire.

Default Am I The Only One Who Is Uncomfortable Living Outside?

I know there are some outdoorsmen out there, but I suspect most of you guys have a cabin or at least a tent. It seriously busts my balls when I'm sleeping outside and it starts raining or getting drafty.

Every city has its haters. I wouldn't trade the time that I spent in the Austin area in the late 80'/early 90's; unfortunately (for me), Austin is now merely a shadow of what it once was as it seems that those "imports" found out how great Austin was, only 20 years too late.

I hate humidity, and not because of a medical condition. I just hate it. Not wanting to live in a place that's hot and humid doesn't make someone ignorant or backwards. If I remember correctly, there's also been a little drought down there. No thanks.

Chicago's fine, but I wish I could find more to love about the Midwest. Help me out here.

While the winters would be too bitter for me, the Great Lakes are underappreciated in other parts of the country as a great place to visit or even have a second home. The fall colors rival any place in the country.

"Y'all" want some cheese with that whine? When someone's Texas-sized ego is offended, we never hear the end of it!

Most of us have no real beef with Texas (see what I did there?), just with some of your recklessly boastful tendencies.

I have lived outside of Central TX for my entire life and couldn't be more comfortable.
