It's not just African Americans. It's all poor people who are being pushed out the city.

Are you under the impression that only blacks commit crime?

1) Tearing down of the segregated and physically isolated projects in many cities where crime use to run (and be ignored) at unheard of levels.

2) Legalizing abortion lead to a drop in "unwanted" children raised by parents who didn't want or couldn't handle them.

3) Crack epedemic of the 90's is over, which as seen a slow slide since then.

4) The more crime goes down, the bigger deal it is when it actually happens. It sets a bit of a trend in the mental state of the country and how we think and feel. People aren't as "use" to crime anymore and do more to prevent and stand up to it.

Why? Theres more poor people, more desperate people, why hasn't it increased? There has to be concrete reasons.

It can't be cause all the criminals are locked up because kids growing into criminals is a never ending process. Are criminals just not as hardcore as they used to be? Maybe theres more criminals now, but less experienced criminals? Less armed robbers and killers and more dimebag weed sellers?
It's because more young males are glued to video games, internet, TV and other electronics.

Think about it. In previous generations; kids, teens and young adults used to spend a huge chunk of their leisure time playing outside. Now, most are inside their houses playing video games and you're far less likely to run into trouble inside your home then you are hanging out in the streets.

So, crime is lower due to this change in American culture. Yeah, video games have existed for a while but now a massive chunk of the young male population are addicted or at least nearly-addicted to them.
