I have, and it's really cool. Of course, it isn't by any means a substitution for the real thing, but I can look at neighborhoods and such without actually being there. And I can venture into the gritty parts without worrying about being shot, either!

It is excellent combined with Live Search Maps Bird's eye, which is available for many cities across the world.

It can be a little difficult to know where to look in a city you have not visited.

Yes, I've used Bird's Eye view and it is very nice too.

And it is hard to know what you're looking for if you've never been to a certain city. I usually start in the core, and work my way outwards.

I have used it many times already. I think it's great.

This looks like it is pretty awesome, but unfortunately my browser quits when I try to view the streets.

Does anyone else have this problem, or know hot to fix it? I have a MacBook.

I had the same problem when I tried to show it to my cousin on her MacBook. It did not work in Safari. Try with Firefox and get back to me. Firefox is freeware.

I tried it on both Safari and Firefox, and in both cases the browser quit.

I've toyed around with it quite a bit. Remember, though, that many of the images are 10+ years old. You may see a vacant field where there has actually been a major shopping center for a number of years.

You're joking, correct? The images used around Indy, for example, are no more than two months old.

No, the image of my neighborhood was taken before an entire townhouse complex was built (3 years ago), and before a large community garden was built (8 years ago) and before a whole row of trees were planted (at least 8-10 years ago--the trees are now quite large).
