This is interesting. Is petrol heavily subsidized in Canada? I'd expect it to be more expensive on Vancouver Island especially, and in the coastal communities in BC, since it would have to be shipped in.

We have two Costcos each about 5 miles away in different directions, one is at $4.69, the other $4.79. Nearer to us the local 76, Chevrons and Shells are at $4.99-$5.43.

$2 a Liter works out to $7.57 per US gallon (there are 3.7854 Liters per US gallon,4.546 Liters per Imperial gallon).
