Yikes, $4.97 in Oroville? As expensive as Chicago gas stations can sometimes get, I've seen increasing gas stations charging around $4.50 or less in Chicago. Yes even within the city, and not just suburbs. Not long ago I was further out in one of the IL counties outside of Cool(think it was somewhere in DuPage), and gas prices there are getting close, where they aren't too far above the $4 price mark.

Well this is rural NorCal, it's been high out here this whole time. IIRC a station in Mendocino at one point was over $9, the highest in the country.
$3.54 NYC suburbs. No wonder Ca. has the most EV sales, your gas prices are high.
