I heard a report from someone on Facebook yesterday, that they saw a gas station somewhere in Chicago that was charging $5.50 a gallon! And I thought the most gas station I saw in Chicago so far(at something like $4.80), was expensive enough!
I don't know how that one gas station someone else mentioned(in Oakland I think?), is even trying to charge $6 a gallon. That is even fregging crazier!

I paid $4.60 yesterday, but that was ethanol-free gas for my 1974 Nova. Our Costco is now up to $4.15, for the first time over $4, Safeway is $4.05. The major brands are $4.37-$5.19.
I was thinking of a saying I heard when I was a kid but have since forgot what it was applied to. I'm going to now say gas prices. Up and up they go, where (or when) they stop, no one knows.
Hopefully soon. Keep getting texts from Gas Buddy. Even Sam's Club and Costco have not been spared. Our local Sam's isn't too much off from some of our cheaper stations.
Some of the previous postings of $6.00 - ~$7.00 p/gal - unreal. Crazy, ridiculous high.
^^I thought the same thing. It was a nice 80s Ford Bronco so you know the guy was filling up with premium gas. Assuming his tank is 25 gallons, it would cost $162 to fill up! And let's not talk about 15 mpg it probably gets. I can't.
D/FW paid $3.69 on Saturday
$3.90-$4.00 with a sprinkling of $3.70 prices at smaller stations (probably not updated).
Weirdly the prices use to be all over the place and just traveling 5-10 miles in any direction could increase or decrease the price by 5, 10 or even 15 cents, but it's $3.90 across most of the central and southern metroplex.
$6.59 at the Chevron on Alameda de Las Pulgas in Menlo Park, CA.
