Whoa, gas stations are increasingly over $7 a gallon in the SF Bay Area? Here I am in the Chicago area, thinking gas stations that hadn't hit over $6 a gallon aren't expensive. Though it's sad it's scarce, to even find gas stations under or around $5.80 a gallon.
We are getting close to $7 a gallon for premium grade here. Regular grade is still $6 plus a gallon here. But, it depends on the location - some areas are more expensive than others.
The most expensive is a station in Mendocino County, nearly $10 a gallon.
