What makes America special is that groups like PETA and the NRA are able to exist. A person is allowed to freely express their views and belong to organizations tat allow them to.
But, like, isn't this something that happens in most developed countries?
You can't put a finger on it but people's freedoms and civil liberties have increased around the world due to the United States providing the world an example. Thank you America.
I love the american jewish population. But I think we should be careful not to assume that the large jewish population in the US is any kind of reflection of the 'freedoms' of the US. As I understand, there wasn't all that much logic determining where Jews moved following world war II.
Except the vast majority of the Jewish population in the US was here before WWII even happened. Most of the non-US Jewish population moved to Israel after WWII but very few Jews left the US. I think that speaks more to the freedoms of America then anything else.
