I was telling my mom the other day that if you stuck a gun to my head and forced me to choose between Arizona and Texas, I'd definitely choose Texas. And I spent a lot of happy time in Arizona as a kid... but Arizona has changed too much since then. It's now overpopulated and xenophobic and just nasty. Texas, at least, is and has always been Texas, for better or worse.
Why rule out whole states? Other than weather preferences I just don't get this, especially in the larger states where living in one area can be a completely different experience than living in another.
Why MI but not WI, or why KY but not TN?
What am I missing?
I'm having a hard time finding a state i wouldnt want to live in, but (outside of MN) my favorite states i would love to live would be... Wisconsin, Michigan, New Hampshire, Vermont, Upstate NY and Maine
These states seem peaceful, beautiful scenery, hilly and great cities.
Georgia, Florida, New Mexico, North Carolina, Virgina, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Hawaii.
States I would not live but love to visit:
Any state north of Maryland in the Northeast, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, South Carolina, Alaska, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Michigan
States Im not terribly interested in (nothing against them at all, been to all of them, just not my thing):
Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia.
Places I wouldn't mind living: Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland
Places I would never live: New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, California, Nevada, Alaska, Pennsylvania
I'm pretty much neutral on everyplace else.
