the Pacific Northwest, you'll still find plently people who go to church. Over in the UK (except for maybe Northern Ireland and parts of Wales), it's pretty rare (though its nice to see they still upkeep most of them). And as far as Alaska's concerned--they do have one of the lowest church attendances in the country, but vote conservatively.
Faith in the Pacific Northwest may be more rare than other parts of the country, but it's definitely intense. It may be a minority, but it's a strong, vibrant, and boisterous one. There's a real argument out there that the western U.S., and colleges and universities, will be the launching pad for the next American religious awakening. There are signs that, in fact, it's already happening.
When I first read the title I though it said "What religion is the most religious?" I guess not, although that would have been funny.
