Another NY State community that may work is Glens Falls. I think the area comes close as it is about an hour north of Albany, a CSA of about 1 million people. It is just inside of Adirondack State Park, Lake George(a quaint tourist village on a body of water of the same name) is close by, Saratoga Springs is close by as well as Ticonderoga and Vermont. Overall COL is around or just above the national average. Here is some more information: Glens Falls is full of things to do, delicious restaurants, and numerous places to shop for everyone in your family or friends.
OP here. Every town suggested is either to hot or to cloudy. I am considering Duluth though.
Did you look at the list? Keep in mind that 200 days is just under 55% of a year. So, any place at 55% on that list fits the criteria. For instance, I noticed that Albany NY was at 53% and Glens Falls is roughly an hour away. That means 193 days instead of 200 days.
Also, some of the places mentioned may have a higher spring/summer average high temperatures, but are dry and less humid, if at all.
During Ogden's hottest period (mid July-mid August) the humidity level only reaches the 50% mark, which is well below what is considered "high" and as a result 90 degrees doesn't feel that warm.
I second Glens Falls. Got greenery, lakes, and trees galore.
