Forest, but there are different types of forest and I prefer some over others.
Loblolly pines with a scrub or barren forest floor, not so much. Nor overgrown, impenetrable jungle like forests. Old growth forest with an under story of smaller trees and shrubs, nice. I like a mysterious swamp forest as much as a forest full of white birch in the fall, or a snow covered northern pine forest in the winter. https://cdn-assets.alltrails.com/upl...9527edca39.jpg
If we are talking about places to live, I like any place with a four season climate and cold winters with decent people and a salary that keeps up with the cost of living.
If we're talking about places to visit, I think mountains are pretty as are desert landscapes.
I love it all. Grassy plains, hills, mountains, flat prairie, water elements, desert...it all has beauty. It either screams at you, "Look how beautiful and majestic I am", or whispers quietly, as you drive through the plains. If you can't find beauty in peace and solitude, you're missing something.
