I'm looking for a neighborhood that has a big trail system within the neighborhood -- 5 miles or more of trails or paths. I'd like to have a trail system within the neighborhood because those tend to be safer at all hours of the day than a trail in a park, and it's great to just head out the door and start walking rather than having to drive to a park. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Thanks -- it looks great except that in Syracuse there would be snow a substantial part of the year -- anyone have suggestions for neighborhoods a little further south?

High Desert neighborhood in Albuquerque has traileads to an endless trail network for mountain climbing in the Sandias and the base trails are quite popular with mountain bikers.
