Clark County Washington should be part of Oregon they already get Portland Local News and Radio. Also Store Owners there can get more business. Here in Seattle everyone just says Vancouver is Portland.
Bullhead City Arizona should be part of Nevada. Bullhead is ghetto compared to Laughlin so if Bullhead City was in Nevada they can use Gambling laws and alot of Laughlin residents who do not work in Casinos work in Bullhead City so the mountain time difference would be nice.
New Jersey can entirely vanish out of existence. Give anything north of the Raritan River and at least 40 miles east of the Delaware River to New York (NE corner of NJ.)
Give everything else except for Salem and Cumberland Counties (go to Delaware) to Pennsylvania.
We could say goodbye to miserable taxes and corrupt politics.

A good chunk of Clark County residents relocated to there from other places in Washington. It is Washington country. It seems many Washington natives that have to work in the Portland area prefer to remain in their native state.
If Clark County were full of more Oregon refugees than Washington relocatees, then I'd concur.
Not to disagree with all the comments about Jacksonville, FL cause I totally understand the sentiment, but (the title of the thread being border cities notwithstanding) I would rather flip it around and say Miami, Tampa and Orlando belong in a different state, as Jax is more representative of the rest of the state of FL than the other big cities. Likewise, I'd say the Texas triangle can be in a different state and Midland-Odessa and El Paso represent the rest of Texas just fine.
What border cities can you think of that belong in a different state than where they actually are and why? Here are a few I can think of.
Memphis - belongs in either Arkansas or Mississippi. The Mississippi Delta culture is a unique culture that dominates much of western Mississippi and eastern Arkansas, but is absent in Tennessee outside of the Memphis metropolitan area.
Louisville - belongs in Indiana. Louisville is actually becoming quite a hip place though many don't know it yet. A lot of young professionals and hipsters there. It's definitely quite different from the rest of Kentucky
Jacksonville - Should be in Georgia. Jacksonville, as far as I know as I haven't been there, is a Southern city and unique from the other major cities in Florida.
Mobile, AL - Definitely feels more like the Florida panhandle than the rest of Alabama.
i'm not even sure louisville belongs in indiana to be honest. some ohioans might argue cincinnati belongs in kentucky haha as it has a way more southern culture than say columbus or cleveland.
