- Low incidence of drunk driving
- Friendly, non-aggressive drivers
- Low proportion of drivers 21-years of age or younger
- Low proportion of drivers 75-years of age or older
- High proportion of drivers who can parallel park within one attempt
- Low number of bad weather days, particularly ice storms
- Well maintained, non-treacherous roads; Well plowed (if applicable)
- Reasonable speed limits, which are respected
