Maryland has so much. Though the Eastern Shore, Ocean City, and the Appalachians are great, the Chesapeake -- I think we all can agree -- is the most loved.
I was just going to post this exact same thing. I love the Chesapeake region and the eastern shore. And assateque island. Ocean City, especially in the off season. And western MD and our own little part of Appalachia which is usually overshadowed by our much larger neighbors.
MD gets thought of as that sprawl between Baltimore and DC but there are plenty of nice laid back, relaxing and pleasant parts of this state.

What I know of Texas are the Dallas, Houston and Austin metros (love them all, BTW). Would love to know this state better. Second largest state in the country, doncha know.
