No city is perfect of course. I think it is silly to avoid a place due to a risk of natural disasters. Buildings in the U.S. are subject to building codes which make them able to withstand most earthquakes and hurricanes. Whereas a hurricane or earthquake hitting a city in a poor country might cause thousands of deaths, a hurricane or earthquake hitting a city in the U.S. rarely causes many casualties.
The West Coast gets earthquakes, the Southwest gets wildfires, the Plains states and Midwest get tornados, the Southeast gets hurricanes, and the Great Lakes region and the Northeast get blizzards and snowstorms.
Welcome to the U.S. If you and your wife choose to have children, they will inevitably be more American than Egyptian. This means that they will have friends with different beliefs like Christianity, Judaism, Shia Islam, and atheism. They may have friends who are homosexual and not ashamed of it, or they themselves may be homosexual and if they are they will want your unconditional love. Your daughters will believe themselves to be equal to your sons and able to dress however they want to and be friends with whatever boys they want to. Once they are adults, they will believe that they can marry whoever they want to, whether they be White people, Black people, or also Egyptian-American. If you have problems with any of these situations, then you might want to raise your kids in Egypt.
