I second Salt Lake City. From my experience, SLC is the cleanest city in the west, which makes it feel newer than the cities neighboring states.

Most western cities feel surprisingly old. Like mid-20th century old, I mean.

Dallas. Houses and buildings built in the 1990s are considered to be old here.

My house (rowhouse) was built in 1977, the newest on my street by more than 100 years

Atlanta doesn't feel new, but it doesn't feel old either. Like a mix. There are parts that are very industrialized and then you have Buckhead and Midtown with their glassy skyscrapers and facades.

Charlotte is definitely a city that strikes me as feeling new.

I think it's a tie between Las Vegas and Charlotte.

Denver has a lot of old architecture compared with other western cities such as Las Vegas or Phoenix.
