Oh yea. Especially now with the gold line and east lines opening up and more lines going to the north. Combined with assets like the downtown 16th Mall shuttle, Union station transit center, a comprehensive and well used bus system and an even more comprehensive bike trail system that ties into the transit system nearly perfectly (you can actually take bikes on light rail there without a lot of hassle), it's not even close.

Portland was close, maybe San Diego was close, but not anymore. Baltimore is not bad and once they open the new red light rail line the will drastically improve. Seattle has gotten way better, so has Minneapolis, but I can't think of a city in that size range that will have such a comprehensive transit and trails system as Denver. Nothing is as nice as what Denver has going on.

Most cities just have parts of a system. St Louis for example has some decent light rail, but it's not as comprehensive and their bus system is terrible.

Denver has really stepped up with transit. It's a main reason I want to move there someday.
