First Maryland does not have enough Waffle Houses and now it doesn't have enough Alligators. Well, what fun is Maryland then?

I thought you would say something like this.. They aren't naturally occurring there, nor are they maintaining a population.

I'm not saying these are dominant by any stretch the the imagination, but would you consider the following cities to be southern:
OKC
Louisville
St. Louis

There are Waffle Houses in Scranton, PA, which is north of NYC.

No annie made a statement saying that I haven't spent time in Houston and just corrected him. I never said my opinion is fact so gets your facts straight. As usual you go around talking what you don't kknow.

That's not the point. They are there is the point.

No, I didn't. I said it seems like you haven't spent time there.

There is a very clear line when traveling away from East Texas where you know you are not in the geographic South anymore. Anyone familiar with DFW knows that this area claims to be Southwestern, but it does have influences of the Midwest/Great Plains and a splash of Southern, especially in the African American community and is the home of Southwestern cuisine. Miami is even more on the fringes than Dallas. So that's why my vote goes to Atlanta.
What foods are we talking about?

I honestly find Dallas to be much more southern than people give it credit for. Certainly more than just a splash. The city reminds me of Memphis as much as it does Oklahoma City.
