To some degree all cities look nicer at night with a few exceptions (Seattle, Boston, Atlanta), but Houston to me really stood out as a city that feels a lot different at night than during the day. During the day the city seemed kinda bland, but at night Houston really shines, makes you feel like you're in a really big and cool city. Any others feel the same?

Las Vegas obviously looks tremendously different all illuminated at night, and a lot better as well. I also remember downtown Dallas looking a lot more impressive at night as well.
I hate to only boast my home city but Jacksonville Florida. Driving by/through downtown at night from 95 its looks beautiful with all the blue lights and bridges and stuff.

These are my picks.
Many many years ago, I drove past Dallas at night several times before stopping there, and I thought it looked pretty sweet with all the colored lights and so forth. Very disappointed when I finally hung out in the area and it was buildings and tumbleweeds.
I'm curious to why the op don't think Seattle or Boston is pretty at night. They contain some of the best real estate in the country to view at night. Especially near the waterways.

It's not that they look bad at night, but imo those are cities best to be seen during the day to appreciate the charming architecture, flora, tree coverage, mountains, hills, etc.
