Augusta GA is the only one here. The only one that would take me in TN is the one in Memphis
. I went last year (Chattanooga) but for a very quick meeting at a local restaurant, The Public House (which I got to say was AWESOME food) and we drove around after the meeting. The one thing that concerned me was the amount of gang graffti there was which kind of worried me abit. My fiancee is tiny (not to say she couldn't defend herself) so I want to make sure where we live is safe. I am not quite sure if this was downtown downtown, however (do not know my way around Chattanooga). Given its very close proximity, we are planning to spend a week in Chattanooga in late September. The proximity to the River and Lakes (WATER !!!
) would make us happy and not really bother us to be farther away from the Beach. Like I said, if I have to deal with the humidity I'll deal with it, doesn't look like I will be getting away from it at all in the Southeast
. Even Raonoke VA is only a few % less in humidity to ATL, which surprised me! It really is only the summer that bothers me, Spring, Fall, and Winter humidity is nothing
. I got to say I was pretty impressed with the way Chattanooga listened to their residents with that survey, and it looks as if they are really working on the crime there, which is great. According to this website, the average humidity in Chattanooga is a few %'s lower than ATL:
