How has your life changed since you first joined City-Data?
I now spend 4-5 hours a day interacting on the forum,i dont remember what i spent that time doing before getting addicted to the forum.I think i used to work,then i retired and stumbled across this forum..
-I waste more time on CD than other avenues
-I learned the suburbs are evil
-Density and walk-ability will be argued to death even though 99% of Americans could care less
-Houston is big
I learned that, because I don't live in NYC, I'm a country bumpkin who lives in a wanna-be-NYC. My existence is not as meaningful as it could be... In NYC.
Dear God I hope this website isn't impactful enough to be "life changing" by any measure or meaning of the phrase.
I have learned that the more people beat to death and promote or over defend a city, the more I cheer for it's demise. If San Francisco was "earthquaked" into the pacific, at this point I feel like we'd lose a few wine and cheese shops, the castro, and a couple of insufferable posters.
