I learned that if you post a skyline thread...it'll get taken down in 25 seconds.

I learned that there are far too many people who don't know how to use...
There/Their/They're
Your/You're

Lets start a basic grammar thread...please
NOW!

I mostly use this website for getting a glimpse at how other people are living across the country (or world). Even if most posts are about moving advice you can still get an idea.

Mostly I've found that people are generally angry

You are so right! I feel like there has to be another city that can do no wrong in citydata's eyes that I'm leaving out as well.

-I waste more time on CD than other avenues
-I learned the suburbs are evil
-Density and walk-ability will be argued to death even though 99% of Americans could care less
-Houston is big

I no longer expect serious thoughtful answers to questions like this.

Dear God I hope this website isn't impactful enough to be "life changing" by any measure or meaning of the phrase.

I have learned that the more people beat to death and promote or over defend a city, the more I cheer for it's demise. If San Francisco was "earthquaked" into the pacific, at this point I feel like we'd lose a few wine and cheese shops, the castro, and a couple of insufferable posters.
