Any surprises on this list?

The highest percentage of overweight adults list was quite interesting. Also Tennessee seems to be a bit physically inactive which I wouldn't have expected.

The fruit/vegetable servings list was interesting too. The lowest metros are all in Louisiana except one (which is next door in MS), and all the highest ones are in CA--arguably the agricultural capital of the country.

All in all, the South still has work to do and the West and Northeast are excelling.

I think Indianapolis and Des Moines are somewhat surprising that they ranked so poorly.

I found it interesting that Miami had a great ranking for "fat prevalence" (90), but was middling with "weight-related health problems" (52)

Yeah, similarly, Minneapolis had a horrible ranking for "fat prevalence" (12), but ranked really low for "weight-related health problems" (90). Another surprise.

Atlanta being one of the only southern metros to land in the top 25 most healthy at #78. I've always said people here in Atlanta are more fit than your average southern city or metro. I don't know why though...probably because of the "Hollywood" factor and people wanting to look as great as they can.

Yes, I was surprised bratwurst and cheese area Milwaukee/Waukesha, WI ranked so low at #75 (ranked between Miami/Palm Springs and DC area), but good for them...

And probably the LGBT factor too.

Virginia Beach-Norfolk probably ranked so highly (#72) because of the Military.
