and if so, which ones and why?

I personally think that cities that are considered more "fast-paced/hustle/more energy and excitement" are more likely to attract those who have more of a control freak personality than cities that are laid back and outdoorsy.

Thoughts?

Control freaks probably like to control their finances, so they most likely head to cities that are low cost and have low taxes.

I would think the spontaneity of a fast paced city would destroy a control freaks psyche. I figure somewhere more quiet/suburban/rural would suit someone like that better.

No it wouldn't; just look at how Lex Luthor had control over Metropolis, through his corporation.

Hmm. I guess we just have different ideas of what a control freak is. I think of someone who wants complete control over there lives/those around them, and is very routine-oriented. I feel like a big city where anything could happen at any time, traffic, long lines, etc. might drive them up a wall.

Please explain your definition of a "control freak". Those words mean different things to different people. Do you mean in every area of one's life, just work, leisure or other?

But just look at all those supervillains, like Lex Luthor, and how they took control of entire cities.

I agree with your perspective that I would believe a control freak would like a big, fast-paced area. I'm what someone may call an opposite of a control freak (Type B personality vs. Type A) and those big, career-oriented, fast-paced cities stress me out just vacationing in them even.

I believe this because control freaks like to be in control, and generally influential, if you live in a rural area in a state your vote is less likely to be influential than in a big city, plus the higher corporate jobs a control freak would generally enjoy are in these big cities.

Control freaks want what they want. That can be anything. My guess is there's not much correlation.
