I would guess areas around Dallas, TX, or Phoenix, AZ. Similar sprawl, similar freeway culture. Warm weather most of the year. One big difference, lower COL in both.

Orange County also has natural beauty. When it comes to scenery DFW is butt ugly.

Aside from COL/scenery/climate differences, this is pretty spot on.

Because not all of Orange County is on the water, the majority of it is inland. When I say Phoenix area and Las Vegas area are comparable, I'm not talking the beach cities, I'm comparing it to the vast majority of inland OC, like Buena Park, Westminster, Garden Grove, Cypress, La Palma, La Habra, Placentia, Anaheim, Orange, Stanton, Santa Ana, Tustin, Irvine, Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto De Caza, Lake Forest and Laguna Niguel.
While the climate is completely different, the Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree, CO area south of Denver receives a lot of transplants from Orange County and has some common features, particularly with the more affluent southern sections. These areas tend to include a lot of planned, immaculate, closely regulated residential communities with no traditional downtowns.
