What cities in the east coast within a half hour of the ocean would be right for me ?

Boston is out of my budget , Maine I wouldn't have my job in .

My research points to Norfolk or Charleston am I missing another city ?
I pay $1600 for a two bedroom apartment, which is essentially half of a huge house, and it's less than 5 miles from both downtown Boston and Logan Airport. It's not one of the popular (and expensive) yuppie neighborhoods, but it's actually pretty nice, and seemingly safe. Not everyone around Boston is wealthy, and obviously we need to live somewhere. Maybe we don't have as many nice restaurants as Cambridge and Boston, transit isn't quite as good, and half of our residents are immigrants, but my neighborhood looks and feels very similar to those next door in Somerville and Cambridge. I wouldn't give up on Boston without actually looking at the details.
