Hello me and my wife is moving out of the state of Indiana we are in our mid 30s 1 child
i work in factory she in retail we both love the outdoor snow doesn't bother us

i wouldnt mind out that way we are open mind on places as long as rent is cheap safe factory work and main thing is they pay half way decent like between 12 and on up an hour where we live at they pay pretty good but rent in getting very expen. and crime is getting out of hand
new york isnt for us we visited there a few years ago thanks for the reply though
If you don’t mind me asking, but where NY? I’m only asking because the state varies greatly in terms of cost of living, environment, etc; depending on the location.
With that said, what kind of places did you have in mind? What else are you looking for in a community?

I'd recommend Greenville SC. You should find some good job opportunity in the area, it's fairly safe, you'll find salaries in the $12 an hour range within your fields of work where BMW and Michelin among other have plants, is a fairly friendly area and close to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Actually the South has less poverty/more job growth than the Midwest or places out West beyond cities like Seattle and Portland. While I'm sure you experienced what you did in Georgia it certainly doesn't speak for the whole region. I would recommend some homework before making such a broad dismissal of one whole section of the country...

If you would settle for pretty big-hill country over proper mountains, definitely look into the "driftless" region of Wisconsin. You may find what you're looking for all around over there.
