If someone asked you to name the states, which state or states do you think you'd probably forget it. Which states in America are the least popular, who nobody you know has ever been visited?

Wyoming, Maine, Montana....would be the DAKOTA'S, but because its 2 of them (north, south) you don't forget. Vermont.

West Virginia, Tennessee, Nebraska and the likes are lesser known. West Virginia is known for nothing, even its name is shadowed by Virginia. I wouldn't be surprised if ignorant Europeans mistook West Virginia as the western part of Virginia.

Being home to multiple prominent national parks, Wyoming and Montana are world famous for their natural beauty. Maine isn't bad either, celebrities like Stephen King and Anna Kendrick were born and raised there. Many of the stories in King's books took place in New England.

Wyoming is always the one I forget exists. Even though it's got the most famous national park, you don't necessarily associate the park with the state. I'm sure the fact that it has the lowest population has a lot to do with it.

Arkansas is another one that tends to slip my mind for whatever reason.

I feel like the really small Eastern states, like Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island, are pretty easy to forget about. It's that when I think about our country I visually see the map of the U.S. in my mind, the biggest states like California, Montana, Texas, Alaska all stand out whereas for obvious reasons a place like Delaware not so much so.

Turn on your radio, all the country stations in the nation spread the sound that was born here in Tennessee. Tens of thousands of tourist flood this state yearly. They visit the Smoky Mountains, Nashville and Memphis. Thousands more each year move here, Nashville is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. Tennessee a "forgotten state"? I think not

If someone asked me to name the states, I'd hit all 50 (and their capitals) but I know that lots of Americans are pretty ignorant and would miss a bunch of them. I'd guess that Delaware might be one that is missed along with Idaho, Vermont and some other states. Of course, regionalism will play into it.
