South Carolina's governor has openly criticized Virginia, saying it's on a downward spiral (ignoring all statistics). Which state do you consider to be doing economically and which one would you rather live in? I know my vote.
i'd rather live in a state that doesn't restore the voting rights of more than 200,000 felons as Va's governor did. It would be over for Haley is she tried that here.

Why shouldn't ex-felons have their voting rights restored once they've served their time?
And if Haley tried that in SC, it wouldn't matter since this is her last term.
seems like there are bigger issues than getting felons the right to vote.
There's always a "bigger issue" at hand. Governors and state legislatures need to be able to tackle multiple issues at a time, some big, some not as big.
Ok. I don't support that action. The article said it was the Va governor's biggest accomplishment thus far.
He did it with executive action as well. It is just about winning elections and VA is a swing state, in my view. We could have our national election decided by these felons who were granted the right to vote by an executive order rather than VA's state congressional law or voter referendum.

Why don't you support it? After their debt to society has been paid, why shouldn't ex-felons have their voting rights restored?
