St. Louis is a friendly but mind your own business type of town. Decent LGBTQ friendly laws. No one cares.
St. Louis is one of the most liberal jurisdictions in the country. It becomes more libertarian the further out from the city you get. 50 to 100 miles outside of St. Louis it becomes more conservative.

It's actually a constitutional carry state which means you can even open or concealed carry without a permit.

Which cities/metro areas would be more than less aligned with these views? Having a hard time fitting in anywhere in this country
Typically, your best bet is living in the city limits (read: not the suburbs) of a major city that's within a "Red" or "Purple" state. Dallas, Atlanta and Phoenix are good examples
How about Las Vegas/Reno? What’s the vibe there like?
Las Vegas is the single most libertarian place in the US. Its definitely worth a look.
The 2nd most libertarian place in the US, IMO, is Houston. Houston is neither liberal nor conservative. Austin and Dallas are more liberal. I really dont get the Austin is libertarian vibe, its pretty liberal.

Isn't Houston's mayor a progressive Democrat?
Though, perhaps one could make the argument that Houston is solidly blue due to being massively nonwhite rather than filled with actively liberal people like Austin.
