I have lived throughout the American west and everywhere there were "terms of endearment" for urban visitors to rural areas.

In the mountains of northern California...........flatlanders.

In southern Nevada for visitors from southern California......prunies.

In Pismo Beach for visitors from Bakersfield and Fresno........Baco's

In Colorado special attention to Texans.....don't remember a specific term, but do remember this joke: If God had wanted Texans to ski he/she would have made BS white".

In north Idaho on Indian lands...blondes particular men with long hair were called"Custer".

In eastern Washington for visitors from Seattle environs....206'ers (after the area code) or Coasties (living on salt water).

Don't remember any terms while living in Vancouver, Canada except for the NEWFIE jokes.

So what are the "terms of endearment" in your area??

In northern Minnesota, all the weekend visitors from the Twin Cities are termed “citiots”. How rude! Haha

Here's an old school NJ/NY one:

"Benny" - a perjorative term used by year-round residents of the Jersey Shore to describe stereotypically rude, flashy, loud tourists from North Jersey and New York. Benny is an acronym for Bayonne, Elizabeth, Newark and New York.

"The Bennys are invading"

In Maine, particularly along the seacoast, summer vistors from urbanized areas were often called "rusticators".
