My first thought as well - more than you can count in NJ. My favorite is Bendix Diner... it seems to welcome you to northern NJ coming up 17 from Newark or Teterboro.
+1, NJ is my first choice too. I lived in northern NJ in the early 1990s, and went to many great diners. The list that was linked is a good sample of them. Where ever you are in Jersey, look at google maps and search on "diner", and there will be plenty of good choices.
Not sure, tbh. Worcester isn't really my realm. I've known about Miss Worcester, and found the Boulevard Diner just doing a 5s "diners" search over the area on Maps.
Not sure if there are more or if many have closed. Maybe a poster more familiar with the city will chime in.
Great, thanks! Noticed the link was fixed
I had heard about the Miss Worcester diner, and I worked with a guy who was out of Seattle, who used to live in central MA himself, and he told me one time the area was known for them, but when I drove across MA ( from upstate NY ) for a job interview, I didn't get the chance to check in, on any of them.
The one you posted right in downtown Boston is pretty cool--those are rare to see

The "old school" cash register is a nice touch here too

Great, thanks! Just wondering, how diners became popular in NJ ( compared to other states? )

Dont quote me on this, however NJ was very early to adopt travel by car - especially from NYC to Atlantic city. Cars were slow then, thus needing to stop and eat.

Interesting, and informative--thanks for the link! It looks like the diner exhibit closed down in 2016, but that would have been something to see.
