I live in an area where 2 cities are separated by water and linked by a bridge. While it isn't a sharp contrast, the 2 areas serve different purposes.
Panama City is what I would call a working town. Lots of businesses, especially along certain road corridors. They have a population of 32,900 according to the 2020 census. There are a few distinct neighborhoods and historic areas. Close by the water you can find bars, restaurants and marinas. But that area doesn't really have any beach to speak of.
Across the bridge is Panama City Beach. 18,100 population in 2020. People on vacation flock to this area. There is plenty to do regardless of your interests. Most activities revolve around the beach and the salt water. Kids have various arcades and putt putt golf courses. When the wind isn't riling up the surf, the water here is some of the prettiest in America. The surf water is clear and just past the surf is emerald blue green water that is so clear you can spot dolphins and manta rays from the beach front condos.
PCB has a definite beach vibe that you don't get in Panama City.

What about the demographic information, similar to what has been posted earlier?
I appreciate all the respondents, this is a fun project for me!
Spent the last few days revising Charlotte, I guess I was pretty distracted as I was initially scoring it. Charlotte's geography breaks down as follows:
•South Charlotte, ~357,000 in 115 mi², ~3100 ppsm
•North Charlotte, ~212,000 in ~79.2 mi², ~2700 ppsm
•East Charlotte, ~142,000 in ~39.6 mi², ~3600 ppsm
•West Charlotte, ~127,000 in ~71.6 mi², ~1800 ppsm
•Uptown/Center City, ~37,000 in ~2.1 mi², ~17,600 ppsm
Not sure about the others, but that Uptown/Center City number doesn't match the 2020 Census numbers for the tracts within the 2.1 square miles nestled within the 77/277 loop.
Those 8 Census Tracts have 16,564 within 2.1 mi² for a density of ~7900 ppsm. Have to extend a ways out to get to 37,000 people. Maybe the population total was misread as density somewhere.

No you're absolutely correct, mistake on my part. That's ~37,000 in a ~5.1 mi² footprint, ~7255 ppsm. Uptown Charlotte has expanded to include a "Greater Center City" CBD that also envelopes South End and Midtown; the combination of the three are Center City Charlotte although "Uptown" is still the more common name for the area and is at times used interchangeably with "Center City"....
Do you have any economic or demographic highlights of those areas in Buffalo?

Peak walkability streets and score per area:
North Side (Hertel Avenue, North Park neighborhood) - 87
South Side (Seneca Street, South Park neighborhood) - 76
East Side (Bailey Avenue, Kensington neighborhood) - 82
West Side (Allen Street, Allentown neighborhood; multiple streets, Downtown) - 96
Note that 2 of the top 10 most affluent zip codes in Western NY are on the West Side. There is a contiguous wealthy and middle class wedge beginning downtown and stretching north through the city extending into the northern and northeast suburbs. The wealthiest areas overall are in the far northeast and southeast suburbs.

I used the source RocketSci posted and the Census Reporter site for a census block that is in a different sector/neighborhood than the rest of the census tract.
I add some maps for each of those sides of town/neighborhoods. Here is some Walk Score information, but some of the information seems to be a bit off or incomplete, yet can give some idea of different areas of town. Especially if you look at particular areas within each area of town: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Do...!4d-76.1508385

If South Charlotte was its own city, it'd be the 55th-largest in the country; South Charlotte is pretty much the entire city of Tampa in both area and population...
