If it had raw numbers what would that list look like? I’ve seen percentages and just of cities not metros. I’d be curious to see in order to telegraph the future a little bit.

When the OP said "telegraph the future" I was assuming they meant demographics (ethnicity, religion, regional distribution) but actually you're right, if a city has a lot of singles in their 20s, it's probably representative of future fashion trends, cultural values etc., which is another valid interpretation of that phrase.

High under 18 percentage counties are likely in Utah and Idaho with lots of Mormon families.

The youth population or "young adults" is typically classified as those aged 18-44. The SLC metro, Denver metro, Austin metro are obvious ones.

The young adult population doesn't necessarily project the future. Good urban cities are often magnets for young adults who then often move to other regions when they want to buy houses.

And those young adults with houses have children who later end up moving to the city, and the cycle continues

Texas has the youngest big metros in the country. Austin, SA, Dallas and Houston are all equally as young. The other three don’t get talked about because they cater more for young families rather than young adults with no kids like Austin does.
