And if AirBNB counts(as I did this once when in this state), also Michigan. So I think that's 8 states overall, out of something like 30+ states I've been to. I know I've been to something like 2/3rds of all states.
I've been in 28 States (Including DC). I've been inside a person's residence in NC (my home state), SC, GA, Maryland, Tenn, Texas, Illinois, Indiana, and possibly Ohio.

I have some big gaps in the Gulf Coast, Interior South, Upper Midwest/Plains States, and Interior Mountain West.
I've never listed this to myself before. There are some states I consider myself decently familiar with, particularly West Virginia and Wyoming, where I have toured around the states and stayed overnight in hotels and camping, but I do not actually know people who live there well enough to stay in their home. I guess I need to accept that I only know those states as a tourist in its purest sense.
