It's Lake Superior, without a doubt.

The other Great Lakes have beautiful aspects to them as well, but Superior has a much more rugged, varied coastline than any of the others. The climate is also colder, so you see more boreal forest dominated by spruces, which isn't as common on the others.

I would say Lake Superior is the most beautiful, but Georgian Bay off of Lake Huron is also very rugged and beautiful.

I'd say Lake Michigan as my tastes are more towards sand beaches and dunes rather than the ruggedness of Lake Superior. The view of the Chicago skyline is stunning along the lake, especially when it turns that beautiful blue. The northern tip of Michigan is amazing as well with Sleeping Bear Dunes.

I also like that Michigan-Huron is technically a single lake making it one of the largest inland bodies of water in the world, second only to the Caspian Sea in volume.

Looks like lake Huron is the only one without a decent sized city by its shore. Lake Superior has Thunder Bay and the others have well known cities by them.

Beauty really is "in the eye of the beholder." Scenery provided by nature, whether it be rugged (jagged cliffs, "painted" rocks, forests, etc.) can be stunning. If that's someone's preference, all of the Great Lakes probably offer something, but none better, maybe, than Lake Superior. If one judges beauty by urbanity rather than nature, Lake Michigan would win. Providing a backdrop to Chicago, Milwaukee and Toronto downtowns is stunning. Lake Michigan also has a lot of natural beauty on Michigan's western border, and Wisconsin's eastern border. It really depends on one's preference.

I'd choose Lake Michigan because you have urban landscapes and natural ones, rocky areas (Door County) and sand dunes.

I've never seen Lake Superior, but northern Lake Huron is beautiful. It had cool rock formations that reminded me of Maine.

But I once visited massive sand dunes on Lake Michigan (around the middle of the eastern shore) that were spectacular.

Erie looks nice from the top of the Millennium Force.

Also helps that it's the only once that is completely surrounded by the Canadian Shield.

Probably the dunes near silver lake and mears. In parts, you feel you could be in a desert.

I've never been to Lake Huron, but of the other four Superior is the best, with Lake Michigan right behind it, and then Ontario and Erie quite a distance behind them. The north shore of Minnesota reminds me of the coast of Maine, and that is a good thing to be.
