Our family wants to relocate somewhere in the US but are unsure where it would be best. Here are our contingencies....

- want a place where a decent house/yard (1/2 to 1 acre) won't be more than $200,000-$250,000.

- need to be somewhere near a major city but not IN the city for husband's job

- do NOT like humidity or heat for weeks on end like down south or New England (where we currently are)! Preferably very little humidity to none!

- enjoy snow, but nothing overwhelming that sticks on the ground or puts everyone on hold for days on end like way up north.

- don't like lots of bugs or insects

- want to live where the cost of living is cheaper unlike New England which is a rip-off!

- do NOT want to live where tornadoes or earth quakes are common

Any thoughts??? I know we sound picky, but this will be our final move and we want a place we'll truly be happy!! We thought of Colorado Springs area, but we like trees and it seems as if there aren't many around. We also thought of Indianapolis Indiana but I'm thinking it's humid there like New England. What other options do we have??? Please send your ideas!!!! Thanks!!

Boise, ID has a lot of trees. Plus it has a nice swift river going through it, the Boise River. It's nickname is "tree city". Snow doesnot stick around long. It's a nice city.
