I'm curious to know what the latest inter-state migration patterns are. For instance, Florida and Arizona grew a lot in the last decade but I'm wondering if they still are after the housing crash which affected them disproportionately. Another interesting example is Massachusetts which was losing people early last decade but has been gaining people since right before the last recession.

I moved last year, but.....

Moved to Cleveland for personal (health/family) reasons only. The economy had nothing to do with it as where I was living before (Minneapolis) was much better suited for both my wife and my careers. We never owned our home and have always rented, so moving was simple in that regard.

I can't point our relocation to the economy whatsoever, but I think your question is interesting nonetheless, and I'm interested to see what others have to say!

Moved a month ago from NY to Atlanta. No regrets so far.

I'll most likely screw up your trend analysis, because i went backwards. I moved initially from Houston to San Francisco to start a new job on January 2 of this year. I had sold my house in Texas and relocated permanently with my wife by June.
