I just mean when I think of the South I think of the deep south, Florida dosent seem too Southern to me, I just feel like TN and KY could be there own region but I know they are both Southern. The southern Wisconsin remark was me being a smart a$$. I also consider VA a mid-atlantic state.

Its like when people think of the Southwest, which I only cosider is New Mexico,Arizona and El Paso, but others will add in Colorado,Utah,Southern Calif.Nevada and some of W.Oklahoma

People think Miami and Disneyworld/Orlando and sun-soaked beaches and 80-year-old Jersey retirees when they think of Florida... but believe me, there are plenty of Southern-fried hicks there too.

Do you concentrate on your own region's hicks? Why are southern hicks always pointed out, even when they're a small part of the population, but you rarely hear people point out "the hicks of the Great Lakes", or "northeastern hicks", or "Midwestern hicks", or "western hicks". Better yet, no type of fried hicks from any of those regions, but the south continues to be berated time and time again as being the only region with hicks. Sheesh, it's a bit old, and I am tired of it.

Well parts of it. It just seem like some of it's right and some of it's not. Also, I kind of thought of some of those regions as definite states and not just parts of states.
