Hi everyone,

I was wondering if people knew of any cities where there are no public housing projects? If you know of places where they use vouchers and no projects, that'd be great too.

Sorry if this info is already out there. I did a search and had a hard time finding it.

Thanks.

Josh

Most cities have no public housing units.

Generally, public housing is only in big cities, or in older cities.

Actually, many smaller cities have public housing too. It just varies in terms of size of the city, the volume of the housing and in terms of upkeep. I know here in NY, even smaller cities have public housing, but they are no different than regular apartments in these cities outside of the residents being from a lower economic status.

Also, I know of apartments in my area that take vouchers in some suburbs, but again, these places aren't necessarily bad.

I've got projects within 100 yards of me.

I live in a very nice semi-suburban neighborhood in Denver.
