I am from Chicago, and I do well enough to not have to worry about anything financial, and I think that Chicago may very well have the best US city economy. Anything you could possibly think about doing, you can do here for a living. There are plenty of Fortune 500 companies in the Chicagoland area, and according to my sources the total revenue of all of chicago is just over $450 billion and rising.
