Houston, Texas....we dont stop building in TEXAS....more than 100k transplants come into our great city each year...they need housing.

Houston still has lots of homes going up. I think it's on track for 30,000 houses this year.

Some areas (like the Portland metro area) are starting to get hit and are still building homes.

Springfield, MO area. They have been booming for the past few years, so they overbuilt. Now there are tons of new construction homes in new subdivisions that are for rent bc they aren't selling and they can't afford to just sit on them.

1,707 new housing units have been added in Lackawanna County (Scranton, PA) from 2000-2007 while the population has declined by 3,771. Viva la sprawl!

Houston didnt grow that much (those are wack numbers), but it had large growth.. it added 21,000+ new residences
Albuquerque didnt have very huge growth but still not very big numbers.. it added 12,000+ new rseidences.. houston and ABQ did really well during this year, despite the horrible economy!

Phoenix, the most overbuilt city in America???? you think that the new home market is O.K. there???? This is a joke, right??? Before they can build new homes they need to sell all the foreclosures and spec homes that are still standing from 2 years ago.
